Why did you get involved with roller derby?

I’ve always loved the look of the game and when I found out there was a team in Wakefield I signed straight up.

Tell us about yourself

I am the oldest cat on the team. Have a beautiful old Labrador that I adore and a very busy work and social life. I bought a project house about 3 years ago and am currently in the process if having building work done. Originally from Northumberland, however, have lived in Yorkshire for 17 years. Love an adventure and a good knees up. I’m very hyperactive and that’s where my skate name comes from.

What would you say to someone thinking of starting roller derby?

Do it. It’s ace.

Tell us about your skate set up

Blue streak skates with Roll-Line plates. Skate on 92’s and have tigger toe guards. Currently on the toe stops that came with the skates but don’t like them as they are rounded.
