Why did you get involved with roller derby?

I volunteered as a zombie at a local scare attraction one year and after Halloween, I decided I needed something just as fun to take up my free time. Someone I knew skated and so I decided to give it a go! That was 4 years ago….

The best thing about being a Cat is…

The other Cats, Cattens, Kittens and everyone else involved at WWC. They are such a lovely bunch of guys and gals and never fail to put a smile on my face and make skating fun!

Tell us about yourself

I’m 30 years old, started skating nearly 4 years ago. I love spending time with my friends and going on adventures to wherever my car might take us. I also enjoy the odd crazy night out (or in)! My loves also include Disney, Harry Potter, reading and GIN…(At least one of those is sensible right?)

What would you say to someone thinking of starting roller derby?

Do it!! You’re never too old, too big, too small, too anything to give it a go! Once the derby bug takes over, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it!!
