Wakey Wheeled Cats are recruiting…. and we want YOU!
Are you looking for a new challenge?
Do you want to improve your fitness, make new friends, learn a new skill or join a team sport? Then look no further – we are recruiting!
We have a series of open days for you to test your skate-legs and find out what we’re about – no previous skate experience necessary (and we’ll hold your hand if you need it). We’ll also lend you some kit for your first try!
We have no upper age limit (although you must be over 18 to join), anyone over the age of 18 can also join as a referee (on skates) or a non-skating official (NSO).

Wakey Wheeled Cats is a women’s* team; we follow The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Statement about Gender.
*Our definition of women includes transgender women and non-binary genders.
Open Day Dates
Saturday 13th January 12-1pm
Tuesday 16th January 6-8pm
Saturday 20th January 12-1pm
You can attend any or all of the Open Days, with an official start date of Tuesday 23rd January. Make sure you wear comfortable clothing (e.g. sports leggings and t-shirt) and bring plenty of water.

How to Register for the Open Days
Either let us know you are coming on our open day event on Facebook, or get a ticket through Eventbrite.
If you need skates please let us know what size you are so we can make sure we have some kit ready for you.
