The Cats will proudly be wearing their new white team uniform on Saturday the 16th May at their first away game of the season competing against Spa Town Roller Girls in Harrogate.
Funding received through The People’s Postcode Trust, a grant-giving trust funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, allowed the Cats current team members and a number of future recruits, once they have graduated from the new starters ‘Kittens’ programme, to have a white competitive team uniform at no cost to themselves.
As a not for profit organisation monthly fees are only used to cover hall hire for training, purchasing a team uniform to compete in can be costly and the team wanted to be as inclusive as possible. It is also hoped that this incentive will encourage other local women to come and join.
